General rules

Dr. Shin’s Notes values ​​user information and strictly complies with the privacy policy in accordance with relevant laws. In addition, we have established a privacy policy for the following elements and are complying with it. Comment

When a user leaves a comment, we also collect the material in the comment form, the user’s IP address and browser user agent string that can help us detect spam. Anonymized strings (also called hashes) generated from emails may be provided to the Gravatar service. Just to make sure you’re using it. Please check the privacy policy of the Gravatar service. After the comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible in the comment context as public.

Media

When you upload an image, the image is uploaded with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Others may download and extract location data from your images.

By leaving a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you don’t need to fill in any details when leaving another comment. These cookies remain for the last year.

When you visit the login page, your browser will create a temporary cookie to confirm that it accepts cookies. These cookies do not contain personal information and are canceled when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set a cookie that stores your login information and saves your screen display choices. Login cookies are the last two days, and the screen options are the last one year. When you edit or publish a post, we may place an additional cookie on your browser. This cookie contains no personal information and simply points to the post ID of the post you just edited.

Embedded content

Articles may also contain embedded content (eg videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves the same as if a user visited that other website.

If you have signed in with an account, we may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interactions with the embedded content, including tracking that interacts with the embedded content.

Provision of Information to Third Parties

We do not provide your personal information to others or other companies or institutions. However, there are exceptions:

Period of retention and use of personal information and destruction

If you leave a comment, we keep the comment and its meta material indefinitely. Instead of holding it in the review queue, it automatically recognizes and approves the next comment.

For registered users, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (usernames cannot be changed). Administrators can also view and edit that information.

User’s Responsibilities and Rights

Users must prevent unexpected accidents by entering their personal information accurately and up-to-date. Users are responsible for any accidents caused by false or inaccurate information, and their right to use may be suspended or lost. The user himself/herself is responsible for maintaining the security of the ID password related to the user’s personal information. We do not directly ask users about their passwords in any way, so please be extra careful not to leak your passwords to others. In addition to the right to privacy, users also have an obligation to protect themselves and not to infringe on the information of others. Users who have accounts or who have left comments can request that we have a file export of the personal information they hold on to any material they provide. You may also request that we erase any personal information we hold on you. However, this does not include materials that must be kept for legal or security purposes.
